IF YOUR BLOOD DIDN'T CUDDLE AFTER READING THIS POEM,THEN I THINK I MUST STOP WRITING!
READ THIS POEM FROM THE BOOK MANY LIVES MANY CRIES .I WROTE IT FOR THOSE VICTIMS OF RAPE & MURDER,AND ARE STILL HAPPENING AFTER EVERY FIVE MINUTES OF THE HOUR, SOMEWHERE OR THE OTHER PARTS OF OUR COUNTRY 'INDIA'.
THIS POEM IS ESPECIALLY DEDICATED TO LATE NIRBHAYA FROM DELHI WHO WAS RAPED IN THE MOVING BUS IN THE BROAD DAYLIGHT,WHERE EVERYONE WAS AWAKE BUT ?
NONE WAS ABLE TO HELP HER!
THIS INCIDENT HAD ASHAMED THE ENTIRE NATION,HOW CAN WE FORGET IT SO EASILY ?
TORMENTED SOUL.
By Abhijit Patil
Many lives many cries.
That one chance what I had, Was drained.
sunken breaths and closed are my eyes now.
To most this is just a bad dream, a nightmare.
But to some it's more than the reality .
Few couldn't even dare to talk about it.
And few rest in the shadows,
Where they hide in their own meadow of despair.
My dead body has got one tragic tale to be revealed
And it will speak for itself .
My body was going numb.
I could no longer feel my toes.
I could see my black mascara tears,
As they fall onto alover me.
My red lipstick smeared and
Hair full of knots.
My body is broken and full of bruises and scars,
And Mind completely lost.
A lesson with a price myself an expensive
Cost.
With their hands over my mouth.
I kept screaming stop.
But couldn't get them off top .
As they were stronger and heavily drunk.
As I fought harder begging and cried for mercy
They crushed down my soul over and over
And wretched it down below
Their feets.
The world slowly went dark,
From the fighting and pain .
I never woke up but laying there bloody and dirty ,
In the rains of tears.
Breaths have stopped of not giving any sign.
But they were laughing for they took
Me as one toy in their cheap game of fun.
And were enjoying out of my unbearable pain
And trauma
But still may be that wouldn't be even wasn't enough for them.
At last it was one steel rod that had my name over it.
It was thrusted deeper into and deeper inside me.
Bitter and worse bitter was that pain.
And my crying voice grew fainter and more fainter,
With the spilled blood stained spread over like a red paint on the floor.
My limbs began to beat when I felt something stopping my heart.
With the dark coated film I had to take the last burst of my breath.
My world slowly went dark forever
In the Dawn I had left from the home
And now I had to forget the Dawn and my home.
And stay in the sky forever.
