IF 'ONE' IS A COMPANY,THAN TWO IS A CROWD

If Einstein was alive today, he’d be labeled a loner in need of more social time.
ONE'S COMPANY, TWO'S A CROWD

Einstein’s most effective life hack.

In 1902, a young, depressed, and solemn 21-year-old Albert Einstein was on the verge of giving up on his dream of becoming a physicist.
Six years prior, Einstein had enrolled in a Mathematics and Physics teaching diploma at the Swiss Federal Polytechnic in Zurich, Switzerland, where he frequently skipped classes and spent his spare time wooing girls, whilst playing his violin at ladies luncheons and cocktail parties.
As a result of his devil-may-care attitude, Einstein’s professors cast him aside as a lazy student destined for a mediocre career in physics.
And after graduating, Einstein couldn’t get a job—in fact, he was passed over for a role as a lab assistant, and even contemplated selling insurance.
After two frustrating years of job hunting, Einstein moved to Bern to work as a clerk in the Swiss patent office.
Working six days a week as a patent clerk, Einstein could barely find any time to develop his scientific ideas, and would eventually give up on a career in physics.
Or would he?
In March 1905, Einstein submitted a paper that challenged the general consensus that light was a wave, and instead proposed that it was a particle.
Two months later, in May 1905, Einstein submitted a second paper. This time he challenged widely held beliefs that atoms didn’t exist, and provided proofs of their existence.
But Einstein wasn’t done yet.
In June 1905, Einstein submitted a third paper—the granddaddy of them all.
Einstein proposed the idea that time and space were the same, and formalized his thoughts as the special theory of relativity.
Then, in September 1905, Einstein published a fourth paper as a follow-up to the previous one.
He suggested that mass and energy were equivalent, and derived the most famous equation in the history of mankind: E=MC^2.
In the years to come, these four papers—produced during “Einstein’s Miracle Year”—would radically transform the way humans understand the world.
And by the end of his career, Einstein would publish over 300 scientific papers, receive a Nobel Prize in Physics, and firmly establish himself as one of the greatest physicists of all time.
So, here’s a puzzling question:
How is it possible that this failed scientist and unknown 26-year-old clerk destined for a mediocre life could suddenly produce four groundbreaking papers within the span of a year, that would change the course of history?
And what’s the most important lesson on productivity and success that we can learn from Einstein?

The cult of extreme productivity

“If you’re lonely when you’re alone, you’re in bad company.”—Jean-Paul Sartre
We live in a world that rewards busyness and the idea of “getting things done”: an addictive rat race to cross off as many things from your to-do list, as fast as possible.
Because of this viral hype, we bury ourselves in busyness and attempt to achieve much more than we’re capable of.
Each day, we create unrealistic expectations to respond to every single email in our inbox, spend quality time with our family and friends, exercise, read a book, sleep by 10 pm, and so on.
But these superhuman attempts to get so much done, and the constant bombardment of new productivity tips, hacks, and gadgets, leads to procrastination, stress, burnout, and disappointment.
Worst of all, the cult of extreme productivity has robbed us off the ability of enjoying our own company.
study conducted at the University of Virginia discovered that participants would rather subject themselves to electric shocks than be left alone with their thoughts.
Likewise in our everyday lives, we distract ourselves with social media, emails, and new goals and ideas, to avoid being alone with our thoughts.
The cult of extreme productivity has sold us the lie that boredom should be avoided at all costs, and doing nothing at all is an unproductive strategy for lazy people.
Yet, it is during moments of solitude that we can discover ingenious solutions to familiar problems and gain clarity to make better decisions.

A time to do nothing but be alone

In his book, Einstein: His Life and Universe, biographer and historian Walter Isaacson shares Einstein’s thoughts on the need for solitude:
“I am truly a ‘lone traveler’ and have never belonged to my country, my home, my friends, or even my immediate family, with my whole heart; in the face of all these ties, I have never lost a sense of distance and a need for solitude.”
From his youth, Einstein had a habit of spending a lot of time away from his friends, family, and work, to do nothing but think.
He would regularly go for long walks, wander off to quiet cabins in the mountains, play his violin, or sail the seas with his wooden boat to find serenity.
It was during these moments of solitude that Einstein would discover ingenious solutions to difficult problems:
“He would often play his violin in his kitchen late at night, improvising melodies while he pondered complicated problems. Then, suddenly in the middle of playing, he would announce excitedly, I’ve got it!”
Ironically, Einstein often lamented about the distractions of communication devices his discoveries later created.
In a letter to his friend, he wrote, “How conducive to thinking and working the long sea voyage is—a paradisaical state without correspondence, visits, meetings, and other inventions of the devil!”
If Einstein were alive today, he’d be labeled a loner in need of more social time. But without his solitude, he’d never have achieved an extraordinary level of success in his lifetime.
Coincidentally, throughout history, there’s a theme of great thinkers—leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs, writers, religious figures, artists—who regularly sought solitude to rejuvenate and refine their thoughts: Leonardo da Vinci, Martin Luther King, Nietzsche, Jesus Christ, Nikola Tesla, and Ernest Hemingway, to name a few.
Likewise, practicing solitude would help to improve our productivity, creativity, and decision-making in everyday life.
For example, I take daily walks in a quiet park, travel without my headphones, and spend a few days in the woods once every couple of months.
And I can say without a shadow of doubt, that my breakthrough ideas and clarity on crucial life decisions, have shown up during these moments of solitude.
Simply block out a few minutes each day to be alone and do nothing at all.
By doing so, you’ll tap into your inner genius and uncover the most effective ways to take action.

Embrace solitude

“Writing, at its best, is a lonely life.”—Ernest Hemingway
In our pursuit of “getting more things done,” we’ve lost sight of the true meaning of productivity.
Productivity isn’t about getting more things done, rather it’s about getting the right things done, while doing less.
The best way to figure out the right things to focus on and the best ways to tackle them is to spend more time alone with your thoughts and embrace solitude.
And just like Einstein, you’ll achieve much more and unleash your potential.

Evolution of technology and change in our lifestyle

Technology runs our lives these days. Smartphones, tablets and computers – we really can’t seem to function without them. In a very short amount of time, technology has exploded in the market and now, many people cannot imagine a life without it.
To understand how we left the dark ages (which really wasn’t all that long ago) to where we are today, it is important to understand how technology evolves and why it matters.
PURPOSE DRIVES TECHNOLOGY FORWARD
All technologies are born out of purpose. For example, search engines were created to sort through the massive amounts of data online. With each new upgrade technology compounds existing technologies to create something better than what was previously used before. And on and on it goes.
With the lightning speed of technological evolution, it is no wonder many people have struggled to keep up. To be fair, the scope of technology’s expanse is so great, wrapping everything up into a single blog post is practically impossible.
Here is just a brief glimpse into how rapidly the Internet and technology as a whole have evolved in recent years.
And by “smart” we mean the continued evolution of smart devices and rise of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Smart devices will continue to evolve to work better together. These machines will share data automatically limiting the need for human involvement.

Wearable technology, wearables, fashionable technology, wearable devices, tech togs, or fashion electronics are smart electronic devices (electronic device with micro-controllers) that can be incorporated into clothing or worn on the body as implants or accessories.
Wearable devices such as activity trackers are best example of the Internet of Things, since "things" such as electronics, software, sensors, and connectivity are effectors that enable objects to exchange data (including data quality) through the internet with a manufacturer, operator, and/or other connected devices, without requiring human intervention.
Wearable technology has a variety of applications which grows as the field itself expands. It appears prominently in consumer electronics with the popularization of the smartwatch and activity tracker. Apart from commercial uses, wearable technology is being incorporated into navigation systems, advanced textiles, and healthcare.
I can’t say as to how many times, I have heard people saying that smartwatch is a waste. Unfortunately those who say it surely don’t know how advantageous a smart watch is and what can be done with it.
So go ahead and check the points. I am pretty sure you will get good knowledge of smart watches and what they are capable of doing.
Many people prefer wearing a watch. The main purpose of it is either telling time or reflecting the classic instinct.
As a matter of fact, smart watch is able to show time. Some have very classy outlook and all of them come with smart features that is not available in a regular watch.
I personally think, smart watch is the smartest replacement for your regular watch.
The price is affordable, there are bunch of extra features and most importantly, for keeping pace with the technology trend, why would you think about anything else than that!
---The best travel buddy sitting on your wrist. But how you would need it while traveling? For instance, if you ever feel depressed, the smart watch can detect your pulse rate and can relax you out with a quick refreshing video on it.
If you are ever on foot or on cab, you can track every step or mile, get directions using GPS over the watch. There are further more things that proved to help a lot in the time of traveling.
---Works as a good fitness tracker.
Many smartwatches have fitness tracking as a core feature. It will help you keep up with your fitness goals. So if you are ever thinking of taking a fitness tracker or a pedometer, you can replace it with a good smart watch.
What a smart watch is able to do? It can count steps, distance, calorie, heart rate, pulse rate, sleep and some other important things you would need. We recently reviewed LQM EX1 Fitness Tracker and I am sure a good smartwatch can offer you the same.
It keeps you connected longer than your phone .
You might be thinking from the very first time, why would you need a smart watch while you have a good smartphone?
Shake it out of your mind because some smart watches are so powerful in battery backup that you could have ever imagined!
Going on a long trip? The Pebble Time Steel smartwatch can keep you connected throughout your trip up to 10 days on a single full charge.
If you are looking for a smart wearable device to keep track of calorie, water intake, sleep, emotion and ultimately help your body and mind, Healbe GoBe2 would be a good purchase.
Do you need a personal assisant who will log your health data as you go? Healbe GoBe2 is literally the one, while the only difference is that it is not human.
In the situations like losing weight or avoiding dehydration, you have to keep track of your health bit by bit. But, the real problem is that logging data manually is not at all feasible.
The GoBe2 fitness watch emphasizes on the ‘automatic everything’ approach. Which means that you do your health work while the device will take care of the logging and tracking.
So let’s find out more about it and the ways it can help.

1. Auto tracking of calorie intake and calorie burn
2. Auto tracking of water intake
3. REM sleep tracking
Smart speaker.
A smart speaker is a wireless and smart audio playback device that uses several types of connectivity for additional functions. Smart speakers have special features to enhance ease of use, connect to multiple types of audio sources and provide additional functionality. The original purpose of smart speakers was the wireless delivery of audio content from a user’s media library, which may be on different platforms, and from online music services. Like any type of electronic product, smart speakers vary widely in features, design and quality.
Some smart speakers feature voice-activated digital assistants and can operate as home automation hubs. These devices are often part of a company’s existing product stack. Examples include Google Home and Amazon Echo. Alexa Voice Services (AVS), the suite of services built around Amazon's voice-controlled AI assistant, was introduced with Echo. AVS enables voice interaction with various systems in the environment and online.
Typically, smart speakers include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Simpler products range from Wi-Fi-enabled boom boxes to adjustable RGB LED smart speakers that can be spread through a home for distributed or localized stereo sound.
Some smart speakers feature a base station with a magnetic levitating speaker that can be placed on ferrous metal surfaces throughout the home. These base stations often feature not only the Wi-Fi base station component but a subwoofer for low-frequency sound, making it a bass station as well.
As with many smart devices, there are security and privacy concerns for smart speakers, in particular with those that use a microphone for voice recognition. Many services upload voice data to servers over the Internet. Privacy experts have expressed concern that the same companies producing smart speakers are also known to harvest user data.

Smart home surveillance
When people think of home surveillance, they’re probably going to have two distinct styles in mind: the nanny cam hidden in a household object or a camera with a grainy, limited view of the front door or garage. With the advent of smart technology, however, watching your home has become an interactive experience. By working with a professional, you can get a system that is intuitive and easy to manage. Read on to find out why a smart surveillance system is the best option for your New York home.
SEE MORE: Is A Smart Home Security System Worth the Investment?
Get the Most Out of Your Surveillance Cameras
Obviously, any home surveillance system is only going to be as good as its cameras. The expert integrators at House Systems help you find the right cameras to match your needs. Depending on the layout of your home or apartment, and how your family interacts with it, we’ll also decide where the best location for those cameras is.
Once we know where to place the cameras, it’s time to figure out which work best for each location. Some areas—like a backyard—can still benefit from a static long-range camera. In areas where movement is expected closer to the camera, you can benefit from models with zoom, tilt and pan capabilities. To make sure you get action as soon as it happens, install motion-detection cameras that begin recording as soon as they sense movement in their field of vision.
Make it Easy to Manage Your Surveillance Footage
A smart home surveillance system can also give you easy access to your footage. First of all, by installing motion-detection cameras, you can limit the amount of unnecessary recordings you have. There’s no need to look through hours of video with no relevant action to find the 15-minute clip you need.
Aside from narrowing down the amount of footage, you can also access it in a variety of ways. You can record it on a DVR or computer hard drive and watch from your tablet, laptop, TV or smartphone. From your smartphone, you can look in on your surveillance while away from home and receive video alerts when your motion-detection cameras record a new clip.
Integrate All Your Technology to Boost Security
To get the most out of your smart home surveillance system, you need to incorporate other components. This means your system interacts with others in the home –be it lighting or security—to get the best results. For example, have your cameras activate the alarm every time they sense movement in specific areas.
For outdoor purposes, it can be useful to integrate your home lighting control. When a camera senses movement in its field of view, it can flood the area with light. Not only could the lights deter any potential burglar, but they ensure you get clearer images on camera.
Technology is a double-edged sword. While innovation and upgrades can have several benefits for us, they can also be used to cause trouble.
The majority of us reap its advantages, but a few with vested interests continue to abuse it and make the lives for the rest of us miserable.
The security camera is one of the wonders of modern technology, which is used at homes as well as in offices. It has gained immense popularity as an effective security measure, thanks to the plethora of benefits it offers.
But just like other inventions, security cameras have a few drawbacks as well.
The advantages, however, outnumber the disadvantages, and this revolutionary equipment continues to be popular with those serious about keeping their loved ones and assets safe and secure.
Advantages

1. Deter Crime

This is the biggest and the most obvious benefit of installing security cameras. Once they are placed, you will be able to see their effect on people almost immediately. Even if they are placed discreetly, you will start feeling a sense of security, which is priceless.

Whether you install the cameras in your home or at the workplace, you can prevent crime from occurring. The mere sight of the camera staring back at them, and the sheer thought of getting caught red-handed are intimidating enough for mischief-makers to be on their best behavior as they would know that their identity and illegal activity have been captured.
Whether you’re experiencing problems related to theft, punctuality, or productivity, your security camera can provide you with the solutions. It empowers you and prevents your home and office from becoming easy targets.
2. Monitor Scenarios and Activities

It is extremely easy to work with security camera systems as they can be placed anywhere as long as there is a power source close by. They come in all shapes and sizes; some are tiny enough to be hidden in plants, pictures, photo frames, etc. Depending on your needs you can buy either hidden cameras or mountable ones.
Never let anyone or anything suspicious out of your sight with security cameras. And while it is recommended that you avoid buying dummy cameras, one cannot stress enough on the importance of fixing real cameras as a solid security measure. Criminals are smart and dummy cameras give themselves away, so there’s really no point in having them.
Real cameras, on the other hand, are extremely helpful as they enable you to monitor the activities of people visiting your home and office as well as the goings-on at these places. This is a great way to detect suspicious people and keep tabs on their activities.
Having cameras installed in strategic places comes in handy when you need to monitor actions and words of people or during an event. Modern security camerasare not only equipped with high-quality video capabilities, but audio as well. The clear images coupled with flawless sound makes them more efficient than ever at recording a series of happenings.
This is particularly helpful when dealing with a legal scenario, wherein the eye witness may have forgotten a certain important detail or may be providing with an accurate account of what really transpired. With a security camera, the legal authorities can see the series of events as they really unfolded.
4. Arrive at the Right Decisions
Footage from security cameras can help you make correct and fair decisions when settling disputes, both in domestic as well as professional scenarios. Whether it is dealing with a situation involving disagreements within your family, among your employees, or between a customer and your service staff, your doubts can be laid to rest with the help of your camera.
Incorrect, inappropriate or fabricated claims made by customers or other authorities can be sorted out when you make your security camera your ally.
5. Maintain Records
So you got to know of something that happened outside your home or office about a fortnight ago and curiosity is getting the better of you? You can douse it by simply looking up your security records. Cameras record and document everything they see systematically, i.e. as per the date and the time of the event.
Whether it is a crime or a minor tiff, your camera chronicles it, thereby making it easy for you to investigate the actual happenings.
THE INTERNET OF THINGS
You’ll hear more and more about the “Internet of Things” (IoT) now and in the future. The deeper we dive into technology, the more it seems we try to blend the physical and virtual worlds together. Smart speakers, smart homes and even smart cars are the tech wave to ride in the future, but it’s just the beginning.
Think of the Internet of Things as a network of physical devices – like handheld gadgets, vehicles, home appliances or any kind of electronic item with embedded software or technology – connected together and able to exchange data.
Gartner, an analyst firm, speculates there will be more than 26 billion connected devices by 2020. Imagine a future where your car warns you of heavy traffic or your alarm clock notifies you about your coffee brewing itself in the kitchen. Imagine living in a smart home in a smart city.
In other words, the future happening is now. Or at least, it’ll be here sooner than you may think.
WHY BOTHER KEEPING UP WITH TECHNOLOGY?
It’s a fair question. Technology is constantly changing and it sometimes feels like way too much effort to keep up with a moving target. Just remember - keeping up with technology adds value to your business.
Staying up-to-date helps ensure you don’t miss opportunities, become irrelevant or fall behind your competitors. Remember Kodak? They taught us all an invaluable lesson: don’t be afraid to embrace change.

Wounded dove ( poem from many lives many cries)

Wounded Dove ( Wings Of Fire)

Falling from the sky
It came down,
And fell on the ground.
Broken and broken apart,
Robbed and looted
As such that it could never be mended again,
And couldn't even yet
 ever fly again.
Every dream fell shattered, when this poor little innocent,
Peaceful and silent bird fell down shattered.
Still there were clouds in his dreams, and was finding godswill
In this ordeal and plight of his failed flight.
Still but he kept praying, asking for mercy,
From all the angels of God.
But his eyes had to convey something, though wounded so rough and hard.
His eyes were only saying, just for once smile bright alive
And laugh it off.
If you have lost it all today tomorrow thence, it shall come back again.
Hold that unhealing grief into your deep breaths.
Even that same tiring and trippy pain turns out to be so helpful as that useful.
Transforming those blood cuddling damaged and wounded wings,up to the wild and
furiously raging wings of fire.
Flying back once again in that free breathtaking open aired sky,
With the new resolutions and commitments to cross all
The uncharted levels of its flight.

THE LOST GIRL CHILD ...... TRUE STORY : GOA

                         The lost girl child
                                      .... ABHIJIT PATIL
                                            ......AUTHOR
                      MANY LIVES MANY CRIES

They say we are lucky to be born in goa,for its harmonious environment and humble people. But for few years now,I am worrying, are we witnessing the same experience, frankly speaking somewhere I have to doubt on the people and my thought process, now the times have changed with the excess growth of advanced technology and changing minds of every single individual.

Few days ago the incident that had occurred in the Mandopa village at Navelim margao goa, have passed a chilling current through my blood streams which shook down my bearings of the entire limits of my body.

I came across this news on the social media and local newspaper,it said 'one newly born baby was found in the bushes ' and two boys named VILAS NAIK,SURAJ MAHTO came into her life as an angels and saved her life, just prior she  succumbs to the jaws of death.
It was 2nd dec 2018,at around 9:30 pm these boys received an call about the baby, when they reached at the spot they saw one new born lying in the bushes near one playground at mandopa, their fellow friends had called them over the phone, soon afterwards when they heard excruciating cries and they found out from where exactly the cries were coming.
Until that time there were no. Of people just standing there but no one could dare to take that baby in their arms and help her, everybody was just watching this stock just being silent and dormant spectators near that spot.
In the hospitals every new born is taken into arms, and is showered by all the love and care that we have.
Everyone is there to welcome him/her in our lives. But this poor little baby girl was lying in the pool of blood and her umbilical chord was coiled up over to her necks, there were all ants over her tiny body, such enough to suck her blood  and sink her breaths to death before we could welcome her in this selfish minded human world. And now she is lying in the ICU Of hospital where there is none of hers own, but only some people to watch over her plight and agony just as a mere duty, and nothing else.

Yes,it is true many families who were lagging child came running to adopt her.But still we cannot term this as 'mercy' because no one else has understood yet,how she must be feeling as a grown up girl,as and when she comes to know that she was dumped somewhere in the bushes just to die?How one can make herself/himself understand that she/he was unwanted right since the moment when he/she has not even started with his/her first cry and breath.where their future is in the dark and that too for the faults and mistakes of others, where this girl is not even responsible.
Whoever it may be,who has done and effected his/her guilty intentions, but one thing is definite from that persons part, that today this person has brought blot towards the way of humanity.
We talk of female infoeticide but apart from terming this case as female infanticide we should term it as clean chit and cold blooded attempt to murder. Because when this baby was found, she was wearing pamper over her, which signfies our mind to say that the parent's couldn't be any illiterate or uneducated characters.
At the same time time,we cannot deny the fact that Indian society is somewhat typical and male dominated society where females have to undergo lot of pressures,
Sometimes this predicaments take place due to teenage pregnancy, preference for boy,and also out Of fear of social stigma.
But let me correct this thinking , if inorder to become social or project yourselves as social being, one has to lower down their positions to that of animals or murderer, then it is of course no longer 'social.’ But a selfish and brutal acts of inhumanity.
This predicament is enough to prove that sometimes humans fall much more worst to that of the animals.
Everyone currently is under wrong impression that this case would be sorted out soon, and baby will be in the safe arms. But here I feel extremely sorry to say that  this has just begun in goa and we don't know how many cases are going to come up in the future?
Presently, there are thousands of questions arising in our young minds out of this shameful act of some unknown person, who is still not beyond bars, this failure will try to serve an wrong lesson to the culprits and the youth as well as what we refer as 'our civilised society '.
On the other hand why is it necessary to jeopardise some innocent soul just for the sake of covering ones defaults, how such people can live with this guilt in their lives?and we are helpless to respect their irrational and illogical thinking unknowingly .
Now a days spreading awareness is not a big challenge, because we are in the era of social media,
But the only thing we must try not to forget, that instead of reacting with smileys, comments, emoji, over the social media ;we must absolutely try to respond.
This society is our home,we have to maintain it,prosper it giving value to every human, irrespective of sex, race, caste, religion: and not just throwing someone out in the wastebins or bushes.
This way we will be heading towards disaster, frustration and spoiled youth and in such a way no one will have any rights or duties to survival.
We have to tackle this,at this initial stages of the problem before it may be widely spreading on to the world.
But this change must start from us,as it is always said the first change is started by common and single individual and then it is spread on to masses.
Hence therefore we should open our eyes now, because now its not a time to be 'soccegad' in our house.
Because we are facing worst enough, everywhere cops cannot stand for us,but 'united' we can stand for each other ,making our land  as a better place of living to everyone. This is our appeal to the Goan society and the world in general that together we can bring lot of difference.we just need to start it independently.so let it start from me,you and every single individually for the welfare of all the souls living in this world.

As a part of judiciary the hardest what I have ever laughed at.

As a part of the judicial system, what is the hardest you have ever laughed in the court?

Abhijit B Patil
Abhijit B Patil, Author (2017-present)

There are many, but i remember this one to the foremost ,as i think of it as the hardest joke, that i have ever laughed at, until i had to ache in my stomach and get out of the courtroom to save myself from the contempt of the court of law.

One fine morning session ,Two lawyers were arguing one matter with their high tones. Everyone present in the court was attentive and alert even the other lawyers were watching the arguments carefully.
At one point of determination the defendant lawyer raised up an heavy objection to the application of rule.
While the judge who was sitting there was watching with his eyes wide open, with his specs over his nose tip.
The lawyer called out
‘Your honour ‘
‘Your honour'
At least thrice a time but judge was just staring at him without any moving of his sigh, everyone was worried about this.
