I still remember those days, where enthusiasm used to flow from the every tiny blood stream and that orientation, perserverance, devotion towards our dream to pass UPSC sparkling in our red drowsy eyes. The day began reading The Hindu, Economic Times, and ended up with the fear of failure and stepping out of all four attempts. That exam would not allow you to sleep peacefully without any worry.
Mmm! "And this way you are going to pass upsc, oh hello this isn't any comedy circus.",it's toughest and one of the oldest competitive exam in the history of Indian administrationative service. " were the common taunts from the friends, family or sometimes your owned circle of motivators too, and were more quite enough to demoralize you and shake and break your confidence level to the degree of zero.
In the midst of this taunts and deep clouds of doubts, confusion and worries, I wanted to rediscover myself, as I felt I was having a bit of negative approach to everything what I answered and was asked to explain.
I found I was good in detecting problems to the grassroot and ground level ,but I never had any luck to resolve all of them at one shot of my experience and knowledge. I had many comments but least of solutions to them. And then it's a weird feeling that still we need to grow up and be matured enough.
But then I thought I should give a positive approach and that positive attitude to bring solutions to my problem of negativity. And thought of experimenting it.
As usual, sometimes in my leisure I used to play chess with my father. He is late now. But then he is still alive for me because I have gained a huge treasure of knowledge from him during those preparations. But then his lessons were always bitter and harsh as that of 'reality' . I used to always lose badly in the game of chess before him. He would literally make me cry before I am checkmate.
And then I came out of that chess board and started thinking a bit different away from the game. I thought I should have strong positive approach towards winning the game and not beating him as my enemy, as in the manner every chess learner and struggler does.
I wanted to discover that attitude in Myself. And afterwards being a shameless loser in the game beaten up badly innumerable times. I said now, it's enough, I said to my father ' Dad, now I will play only three games. But I will beat you today alreast in ONE so badly that you will remember me for this defeat if yours. ' So my father also became conscious and alert and bit more stubborn and rude cruel aggressive player in first two games. And then now it was my last round. And my father was more confident enough that time and that proudish smile smile over the face again to put me down that I might lose. But this time, I had planned in the first two round that day I learned enough his game but still I preferred to lose and was getting myself irritated by my father's taunts in between the defeats. And in the third round I knew my father would be over confident to defeat me again badly.
But this time I proved him wrong, I was straightening all his moves and twist to kill and clear each and every pawn and piece over the chess Board that time. And His face was turning red and blue but at the same time he found that the kid is grown up now and was real man to prove his words and talks practically right there. And then there was no mercy.
And thatswhere I discovered how positive approach and attitude towards every rough and tough problem can help you understand the problems first and then looking out for the right solutions.
That day I won over my father, because at that particular reason and time I had tried and forced myself to be positive to every failure and self-doubt. And then again positive attitude towards my goal and target kept me away from all the distractions and disturbances from winning that game. And in so ways after thorough understanding and planning right way I did that what I had never never done in the game of chess with my father as the opposite and strong opponent but I won, giving the word first and making it come true. And this way my experiment towards gaining the positivity in life and to every problem had already sparkled a new spark in me.
I don't know how many of you all are going to be roaming in that ambassador car with the blue alarm light over the car. But what I can assure you here is that even if you fail still you will be happy and successful in whatever you will be doing the next. This approach is just not only for the exam purpose. But it's for every life and that smile which matters to me.
Hence Be Postive And Gain Positive attitude in life. And you will find connecting yourself to the new version which you might have never ever met.
